Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, you will be part of the Environmental Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Administer and maintain the EQuIS database, including user roles, system configurations, and data workflows
- Import, validate, and manage environmental data from field sampling, laboratory analyses, and automated monitoring systems using EDP
- Coordination with various environmental laboratories to ensure seamless data flow into EQuIS
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and formatting issues to support sites with data management as needed
- Support environmental monitoring programs (e.g., water, air, tailings, waste rock) by ensuring timely and accurate data entry and reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards, maps, and reports using EQuIS Professional, Enterprise, and Live modules
- Generate regulatory submissions and internal reports, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial requirements
- Collaborate with environmental coordinators, engineers, and consultants to support data-driven decision-making
- Train staff on EQuIS workflows, data entry protocols, and reporting tools
- Participate in audits and inspections by providing accurate and traceable data exports
- Work closely with the corporate environmental data management team to align site databases with regional and corporate standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of data management practices across the organization
- Uphold environmental stewardship and compliance and support environmental monitoring programs by managing water, air, and soil quality data
- Integrate site sampling schedules and configure trigger alerts when regulatory limits are exceeded to ensure timely and accurate reporting that meets internal and external regulatory requirements
- Develop dashboards for easy viewing of current, relevant data by site management and environmental personnel, and provide insight on trends to support decision-making
- Fully manage EQuIS databases for the AEM Legacy team.
- Other tasks as requested by Environmental Superintendent or AEM Legacy Team
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Data Management, GIS, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in environmental data management, preferably in the mining industry
- Proficiency with EQuIS (Professional, Enterprise, Live, EDP)
- Strong understanding of environmental monitoring programs and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, EnviroInsite, GIS)
- Familiarity with Canadian mining regulations and environmental reporting standards is considered an asset
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Schedule: 5/2 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON or Regional Office with the requirement to go to site as needed.
