This role position includes environmental health and safety work to protect and improve natural resources of air, land, and water in order to provide a clean and healthful environment, as well as health and safety support for a safe working environment for the workforce.
· Apply professional engineering competence with specialized knowledge of chemistry, environmental, and biological science in order to ensure that industrial operations are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Oversee daily activities of team members to maintain environmental management system
· Planning, designing, constructing, modifying or improving and maintaining facilities either by in-house or contractual effort; regulate or enforce environmental policies, programs or activities by establishing standards, promoting improvements, evaluating compliance to secure satisfactory results. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, stormwater and wastewater, air permitting, OSHA and any other applicable regulatory program.
· Interface with regulatory agencies and company personnel to direct EHS efforts. Participate in compliance audits. Facilitate training and educate personnel as required. Interact with outside vendors as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Create and maintain SDS’s and manage electronic SDS system. Update database to ensure its regulatory requirement.
· Generate applicable environmental reports and maintain permits as necessary per regulations. These include annual, quarterly and other periodic reports for hazardous waste, wastewater, Air, Stormwater, and other hazardous materials required by local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
· Review and recommend improvements to existing environmental strategies.
· Manage Hazardous and non-hazardous waste for compliance to local and state regulation.
· Stay updated with environmental trends and legislations.
· Investigate environmental incidents and develop action plans.
· Manage the wastewater facility for operational efficacy and regulatory compliance
· In-depth knowledge of regularly requirements, interpretations, and health and safety programs
· Aptitude to solve problems quickly with advanced conflict resolution skills
· Advanced computer skills with Microsoft office applications.
· Deliver training or data to management and staff
· Teamwork, positive impression with fellow team members.
· Ability to work well under pressure and create solutions to serious conflicts quickly and competently.

This employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and fax machines in an office environment.
Endurance - sitting 1-2 hours per shift.
Standing - up to 6 hours per shift.
Climbing/stooping/kneeling 2-3 hours per shift, must be able to bend, stoop and clinb.
Lifting/pulling/pushing - Physically able to lift, pull and reach 5-50 lbs.
Fingering/Grasping/feeling - Must have full use of hands to perform tasks.
This is a full-time position. Normal office hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Also requires occasional flexible hours for training and environmental testing as necessary.
No overnight travel is anticipated for this position. Occasional local day travel may be necessary.
· B.S. degree in environmental or Occupational safety and health or 10 years of work experience in related field
· CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or relevant certification preferred
· OSHA 10- or 30-hours General Industry Certification preferred
· Environmental health and safety compliance experience within a manufacturing setting
· Knowledge of EPA, NIOSH, ANZI and OSHA regulations
