Job Summary
The Engineering Technology Specialist provides strategy, research and development, and continuous improvement support for the Engineering department; supports Emerging Technology initiatives (i.e., material optimization, material utilization, and resource utilization); and contributes to the Maintenance and Operations teams by consistently reviewing available diagnostic information and conducting root cause analysis.
Responsibilities
•Provide strategy, research and development, and continuous improvement support for the Engineering department
•Advance the organization’s commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement, strategic planning, goal setting, performance improvement, and training by employing the latest maintenance systems
•Contribute to the Maintenance and Operations teams by consistently reviewing available diagnostic information and conducting root cause analyses
•Participate in project planning and management
•Support Emerging Technology initiatives (i.e., material optimization, material utilization, and resource utilization)
•Regularly collaborate with external vendors and service contractors
•sdentify recurring equipment problems and gaps in existing maintenance practices that require modification
•Collaborate with the Emerging Technology team to identify staff training requirements for new and existing equipment or procedures
•Assist with creating and updating training curricula for maintenance personnel
•Participate in the development and delivery of training on maintenance procedures, guidelines, and best practices
•Ensure that all equipment monitoring programs adhere to engineering specifications and maintain operational performance standards (e.g., Intellie, Product Link, etc.)
•Participate as needed in the department processes to meet department requirement
•Collect and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
•Review mechanical performance reports
•Compile weekly summaries of mechanical performance and KPIs
•Prepare and present quarterly maintenance report and provide input on the creation of new KPIs
•Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in the oilfield services industry, strongly preferred
•Minimum 1 year of formal maintenance or technical education, highly preferred
•Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and technical roles dealing with Pumping Services equipment, preferred
•Must have knowledge in scheduling, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, asset management, electronic engine systems, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
•Skilled in project planning and management
•Organizational experience is essential (i.e., knowledge of each role and function of the tea
•m)Maintaining a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
•A high school diploma or equivalent certification, required
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, can effectively interact with vendors, leadership, teammates, and personnel at all levels of the organization
•Must exhibit a positive and proactive approach to problem solving
•Must be proficient working with engine diagnostic systems
•Highly collaborative, can effectively work with others to reach a common objective
•Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; can gather, interpret, and summarize relevant data
•Organized with strong time management skills; able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
•Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
