Job Summary

This position is responsible for document management, record keeping, creating Purchase Requests using Maximo, working with Vendors and Procurement securing material for plant reliability and engineering support activities to ensure accurate ground control and data reporting in support of Power Plant operations.

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

•

Use the ProjectWise Drawing Management System to identify and retrieve all drawings necessary to support the project engineering and design effort.

•

Update drawings as necessary.

•

Using computer aided drafting (CAD) system, prepare new drawings and revise existing drawings. Using schematics prepared by the project engineer, produce physical designs.

•

Maintain and update piping, valve and specialty lists. Maintain and update cable & conduit lists. Maintains and updates drawing files.

•

Do materials take-offs and prepare bills of materials for purchase.

•

Revise drawings to show as-built modifications.

•

Participate in special projects and committee assignments as requested.

LEVEL OF POSITION WILL BE DETERMINED BY APPLICABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

•

Two years experience as an Engineering Technician, Level II or five (5) years related work experience.

•

Skilled with use of Drawing Management System.

•

Capable in use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and other software.

•

Knowledgeable of codes and standards and of general industry practices.

•

Technical aptitude for computer applications.

•

PC skills and working knowledge of various software packages (CAD, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).

•

High school diploma or GED equivalent; Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
