Engineering Services Manager

Are you a seasoned engineering professional ready to make a significant impact? NEW Water is looking for an  Engineering Services Manager

 to lead our team and drive critical projects for our community's wastewater infrastructure. This is a chance to use your expertise to help plan, design, and construct wastewater treatment plants, interceptors, and other facilities, ensuring our systems are sound and functional.

You'll be a driving force behind our capital projects, managing everything from securing funding and bidding to overseeing construction and start-up. This role is a perfect fit for a leader who excels at managing complex projects while also mentoring a talented team of engineers and technicians.

What You'll Do

Lead with Impact:

 Direct the daily operations of our Engineering Department and provide strong leadership to a team of three staff engineers, two engineering technicians, and an intern. You'll handle key HR functions, including interviewing and performance management.

Drive Critical Projects:

 Take charge of our capital projects, overseeing every phase from initial scope development to final close-out. This includes managing contracts with consulting engineers and ensuring project documentation is accurate and compliant.

Coordinate and Collaborate:

 Organize and lead meetings to ensure smooth project execution and resolve operational conflicts. You'll also be a key communicator, providing project updates to our Commission, legal counsel, and leadership teams.

What You'll Bring

Education:

 A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline is required.

Experience:

 A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. We are looking for someone with a strong background in project management, facilities planning, design, and construction. A combination of education, training and relevant experience will also be considered.

Licenses:

 You must hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a Professional Engineer’s License issued by the State of Wisconsin.

Hiring Range: $118-435-$139,338 annually

Full Salary Range: $118,435-$167,211 annually
