Engineering Manufacturing Planner

Assist in analyzing production requirements and launch the appropriate orders for manufactured goods. Monitor the status of these orders, and react to any changes or discrepancies in the appropriate manner.

Improve information flow from engineering requirements to the production schedule including raw materials / finished materials and date planning.

Production and inventory planning is essential to be successful in this role.

Maintain a role in the order release process. Provide internal direction and assistance with assigned Product lines.

Provide technical and administrative support to manufacturing.

Develop and provide input to Manufacturing build plan.

Develop priorities and communicate with support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.

Broad knowledge and experience in: MRP, BOM, Routings and order release systems

Above average skills in: Critical thinking and detail

Demonstrated ability to: be Self-motivated and flexible

General knowledge of: Build to order manufacturing requirements

Machine shop manufacturing / purchasing a strong plus.

Operations Degree or equivalent experience in a planning function.

Background in manufacturing and/or operations required.

Knowledge and experience in ERP systems a strong plus.

Ability to see overall strategy and execute at the detail level

Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing operations
