Engineering Group Manager

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia Work Schedule: Full-time, Onsite FLSA Status: Exempt

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) to serve as an Engineering Group Manager for one of our clients in West Virginia. This leadership role combines technical expertise, business development, and people management.

The Engineering Group Manager will oversee engineering projects, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and client service.

What You Will Do

- Oversee engineering projects from planning through execution.

- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering professional development and technical excellence.

- Manage profit and loss (P&L), budgets, schedules, and office resources.

- Lead client relationship management, proposal preparation, and related business development activities.

- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, industry regulations, and engineering best practices.

- Contribute to the expansion of the satellite office by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.

What You Will Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

- Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, preferably with a geotechnical background.

- Demonstrated experience managing profit and loss (P&L).

- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Commitment to workplace safety and engineering best practices.

- Knowledge of local and regional engineering trends preferred.
