At LCRA, we are looking for an Engineering Associate III well-versed in transmission infrastructure. Proficiency in 138kV, 345kV, or 765kV substation concepts is required. You Will Be Trusted To
- Support high voltage substation electrical/physical design and construction drawing development.
- Use AutoCAD to design substation one-lines, three-lines, layouts, section views, grounding layouts, and electrical details.
- Coordinate and review the work of other engineering associates
- Evaluate and revise substation engineering procedures, design tools, and provide recommendations.
- Identify, investigate, and analyze problems.
- Interface and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure a seamless design between civil/structural engineering, system protection, construction personnel, consultants, vendors, and management regarding substation design.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus four or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
- Driver's license
- Experience with 138kV, 345kV, or 765kV substation electrical/physical design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of IEEE Standards
