Engineer Staff thru Engineer Senior- West DOC

As an Engineer at Oncor you will play a vital role in the planning, design, maintenance, and enhancement of our transmission and distribution systems. You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the stability and sustainability of the electrical grid. Current projects within the company include: system protection architecture and design, system capacity upgrades, substation and transmission line design, system impact / performance studies, system automation technology applications, new microprocessor equipment applications, automated metering systems, material & equipment specification review, and emerging technology projects.

Education & Experience

Staff Engineer

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required. + Applicants with 3-5 years of electric utility experience are encouraged to apply. + Ability to work independently and on a team + Experience with ERCOT ( Electric Reliability Council of Texas) or NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) regulations is preferred.

Senior Engineer

+ Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required. + Applicants with 6 or more years of electric utility experience are encouraged to apply + Applicants that are Licensed Professional Engineers in the State of Texas are encouraged to apply + Applicants with Distribution planning work experience are encouraged to apply
