Mountaineer Gas Company is the largest natural gas distribution company in West Virginia with over 220,000 customers and 450 employees. We service fifty (50) of the fifty-five (55) counties in West Virginia and maintain close to 6,000 miles of pipeline.

Job Summary ENGINEER – CHARLESTON SERVICE CENTER (CHARLESTON, WV)

We are currently recruiting in our Charleston Service Center, Charleston, WV, for an Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Performs general engineering work on projects related to the design of natural gas distribution pipelines and associated facilities.

- Calculates and/or analyzes operations for economics, increased efficiency, new methods, and quality of special projects.

- Develops and oversees policy and practices for measurement, environmental activities, corrosion and other areas of compliance.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Requirements:

- Proficiency with various computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Experience with design models, pipeline hydraulics, and pipe and equipment sizing/selection.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Preferences:

- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.

- Natural gas industry experience preferred with emphasis on system analysis and sizing, environmental activities and requirements, large volume measurement design and accuracy testing, pressure control, cathodic protection compliance, odorization compliance, and/or welding procedures and testing.

- Licensed Professional Engineer.

Position is subject to applicable DOT regulations including Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan.
