Monitoring, Control and Compliance, (MCC) is a privately owned small business providing services to the solid waste industry. Founded by a former landfill gas technician in 2005 with two employees; and has since grown to approximately 65 employees utilizing a controlled growth strategy.

- Support, develop, mentor, and manage junior engineering and CAD technician staffing

- Lead the development of project proposals and participate in business development activities. Oversee all project work conducted by the Engineering and Design (E&D) team for technical, operational, and financial success, as well as perform the many functions carried out by the team to complete projects.
- Continue to grow the project base and team in a controlled and business minded manner.
- Work closely with senior environmental professionals, clients, and contractors to engineer and design landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS) and landfill liquid management systems.
- Responsible for designing GCCS and liquid management systems for beneficial use, compliance, odor control, and best management practices on new and existing systems.
- Manage and prepare technical documentation and drawings required by NSPS, NESHAP, other regulations, and facility permits.
- Project functions include but are not limited to creating system plan and detail drawings in AutoCAD, generating material take-offs, performing engineering & cost benefit calculations, researching equipment and material specifications, reviewing data for system improvements, performing site visits, and writing reports, plans, bid documents, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Work in a field and office setting, depending on the project(s) phase being completed.
- Maintain project and design electronic file systems.
- Develop master plans, reports, and technical specifications.
- Attend site meetings and perform pre-design and pre-construction site investigative site visits.
- Work with system operators to understand existing system operations and issues.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data for system improvements.
- Manage project scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.
- Review AP and AR invoicing.
- Manage profit and loss financial reports.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their needs are met.
- Conduct client meetings and provide project updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Professional Engineering license
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in landfill gas engineering, construction, monitoring, operations.
- Experience working in CAD software such as: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads, or other related AutoDesk or Bentley platforms.
- Experience operating, maintaining, designing, implementing, or installing landfill gas and liquid systems.
- Experience in regulatory compliance management is a plus.
- OSHA 24 HR HAZWOPER Certificate or ability to obtain shortly after starting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and team leader.
- Driver’s license with clean driving record, drug free, and clean background.
- Construction experience is a plus
- Travel up to 15-20% of the time for site visits, construction monitoring, and client meetings paid.
Starting Rate of Pay: Salary will be based on experience.
