Summary of Position:
The IT Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, building, and managing the current and future needs of Civitas’ IT infrastructure. This position involves planning various components including server and storage, backups, virtualization, and security. Includes setting up and updating server hardware and software from a project management standpoint. This position will assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Lastly, this position requires effectively communicating information about systems-related problems and solutions.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
•Identity and Access Management with industry standard tools (SCIM, SAML, MFA)
•Collecting, Organizing, and Parsing security or audit logs from various platforms
•Design and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure
•Design and maintain centralized storage platforms
•Manage Civitas Cybersecurity program including dashboards and documentation
•Audit backup and restore jobs, in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley
•Create and maintain documentation of IT systems and services, including policies and procedures
•Maintain awareness of business shifts and new needs and advise IT leadership on strategic plans to provide for those needs.
•Ensure areas listed above are updated as needed to keep systems functional and mitigate security risks.
•Act as escalation path for infrastructure requests relative to supported systems.
•Act as a mentor for system administrators and service desk team members
•Maintains current knowledge of industry trends.
•Assure all work performed adheres to Civitas’ standards
•Perform all other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
•Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to security protocols and policies.
•Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and courteously addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests through various communication channels.
•Takes ownership of projects and responsibilities, displaying a high level of accountability and initiative.
•Ability to work efficiently independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse audiences.
•Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling efficient planning and execution of work to meet established deadlines.
Education & Experience:
•5+ years of experience of IT systems administration
•Implementation of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, virtualization platforms and identity and access management (IAM) required
•Industry level certificates preferred
•College degree preferred
•Experience in public traded companies preferred
•Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures preferred
Travel & Additional Requirements:
•Location: Work is performed at a CIVI location Monday through Thursday with the option of working remotely on Fridays.
•Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and 4-hour workdays on Friday, as business needs allow and with manager approval.
•Travel may be required to other Civitas offices and field locations.

Base Pay Range: $110k - $125k
