Serve as a member of the Sacramento, CA Transmission & distribution group, responsible for the engineering, design, development, implementation, and analysis of power delivery systems. It may include distribution, substation, relay protection, civil/structural and transmission design. Engineer III also recommends, reviews, and provides quality assurance checks to engineering and design development and deliverables to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Using client standards, the Engineer III prepares construction work packages for implementation of recommended remediation measures, including preparation of drawings and creating material lists. This Engineer III will have the following duties:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering field. Additionally, 4 years of engineering experience involving transmission and/or distribution line design. The stated experience must include 4 years: (1) Using design and analysis software and tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, AutoCAD, and MFAD/FAD. (2) Coordinating and working on tasks for multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
Must be willing to travel 5% of the year within the state of California.
Will accept a MS degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering field and 2 years of stated experience in lieu of a BS and 4 years of experience.
