Job Description

X-energy is seeking professionals to join our Core Design Team in the role of Engineer II, Nuclear. This role is responsible for performing engineering tasks associated with designing, developing, and conducting analyses of a nuclear reactor or nuclear facility.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

+ Reactor core design and analysis. + Radiation shielding design and analysis. + Nuclear fuel analysis and qualification. + Criticality safety. + Reactor multiphysics analysis, especially pertaining to transient analysis. + Nuclear analysis software development, verification and validation.

Other areas of nuclear engineering or nuclear physics relevant to the design and analysis of small modular reactors, microreactors, and nuclear facilities.

Preferred Skills: Experience with reactor physics analysis codes (ex. MCNP, SCALE, OpenMC, VSOP, etc.)

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD

Travel Expectations: 5%

Work Site Expectations: 5 days a week in office

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation
