Job Title: Engineer - Energy Services Conservation & Load Management

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $85,900 - $107,375
The Engineer, C&I Energy Services will support senior engineers in developing energy efficiency leads and build customer relationships to promote the efficient use of energy within commercial and industrial facilities in Avangrid service territory. The Engineer, Energy Services C&I will perform technical and economic feasibility studies, calculate and document anticipated energy savings and associated incentives within the context of the approved conservation and load management plan. Assist customers in the development of strategic energy management plans and represent Avangrid to external stakeholders through active participation in trade groups and presentations at professional events.
Build customer relationships to promote the efficient use of energy in Avangrid service territory—the main responsibility of the Engineer, Energy Services is to develop relationships with Avangrid customers and support them in advancing the efficiency use of energy in their facilities. This includes but is not limited to the development of strategic energy management plans and multi-year energy savings agreements, support reviewing technical proposals and building plans, and advocating for the customer.
Calculate and document anticipated energy savings and incentives—calculate anticipated energy savings from proposed projects using the approved program savings document and other reasonable technical evaluation techniques. Determine incentive amounts within program rules. Document and track all participation progress including energy savings calculations and incentive amounts within the approved program tracking platform. Use technical experience and market awareness to identify and support the technical feasibility analysis and evaluation of new energy savings measures, services and programs for customers.
Represent Avangrid to external stakeholders—the Engineer, Energy Services C&I will actively participate in relevant trade groups to represent Avangrid to external stakeholders. Develop and deliver professional presentations to trade groups and internal departments, while positioning Avangrid as a leader in C&LM
Monitor installation of energy technologies, provide quality assurance and review operations of systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
Achieve financial and energy savings goals—the Engineer, Energy Services C&I will have personal goals tied to the performance of the C&I C&LM programs for the operating companies the engineer supports. This may range from $500,000 - $2,000,000 annually with assigned delivered lifetime gas and electric energy savings.
