The Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring system devices to support the Ameren Illinois Voltage Optimization Plan.
- Design, implement, and monitor system devices to support the Ameren Illinois Voltage Optimization Plan.
- Perform Measurement and Verification (M&V) on Voltage Optimization circuits to ensure energy savings goals are met. Identify system improvement opportunities utilizing VO software, analysis tools, and AMI data.
- Support the integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER's) into the distribution electric operations system both for reliability and economic purposes.
- Consult collaboratively with all Illinois stakeholders (Distribution Control, Substation, Division Engineering & Operations, Planning, and Reliability) to help drive performance excellence across Ameren Illinois.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to maximize the positive impact of Illinois budgetary allocations for Voltage Optimization based projects and initiatives.
- Support the Ameren Illinois Emergency Operations Center during significant events that affect Voltage Optimization.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration preferred. Engineering experience preferred.

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
