Position Summary

M&M Energy Solutions is a leading green energy solutions provider that helps businesses and commercial clients deploy energy efficiency solutions that help support environmental stewardship and corporate sustainability.

As a leader in the space for over 46 years, M&M is growing fast and needs a dedicated Sales Account Manager to help foster more commercial client engagement. M&M's energy main target market is providing efficiency projects consisting of Lighting, Refrigeration and HVAC equipment for commercial businesses. M&M is an approved Trade Ally for Utility companies to assist in their incentive programs offering customers full turn-key projects for a fraction of the project cost.

In this position, the Energy Service Representative will be integral for networking, nurturing and developing and targeting Commercial customers to participate in an energy efficiency projects. M&M works with utility companies to help commercial customers obtain incentives to upgrade their lighting, refrigeration and HVAC equipment in their facility up to a 30-60% incentive of the total project cost, while the utility will offer 0% financing for the remaining customer portion.

This is not your ordinary company with a hard to sell product looking for sales reps. We help customers in a time of need, and our offerings create a great opportunity for clients to take advantage of. This sales position is a feel good role. When you get a customer to sign a project, the customer is the winner. There is no need for sleezy sales tactics, if you represent our offering honestly and transparently, our longest lasting Energy Service Representatives are at an 80% closure rate with commercial clients, because our solution is for some of their biggest pain points as a business owner.

This full-time position is ideal for those sales professionals who do not fear hitting the pavement to identify client prospects, can network and build long-term commercial client relationships through mechanical subcontractors, property managers, quick serve restaurant groups, etc.

- Full time salary plus an 1.5% sales commissions on sold projects that are uncapped. Highest commission structure in this market.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this position, the Energy Service Representative will be tasked with cultivating commercial client interest, audit facilities for energy conservation measures and produce signed proposals.

In this role, you will tackle a range of sales and auditing responsibilities.


These include:


RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct direct outreach to identify prospective customers.

2. Network and create relations with other channel partners outside of M&M’s industry that have our targeted customer base to grow with.


3. Secure an on-site assessment appointment.

4. Audit onsite locations for energy conservation measure opportunities.

5. Meet with mechanical and lighting contractors onsite to audit the facility and gather necessary information to develop an energy efficiency proposal.


6. Present, promote, and sell products/services.

7. Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.

8. Reach out to customer leads through cold calling/site visits.

9. Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.

10. Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.


11. Continuously improve through feedback.

12. Present the final proposal to the client and close deals.

13. Capture all necessary documents and information from customers for the operations team to successfully process your project.

14. Update, maintain your pipeline and tasks through M&M’s proprietary CRM.

SKILLS OF A SUCCESSFUL ENERGY SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

1. Proven work experience as a sales representative targeting commercial customers in Connecticut.


2. Knowledge of MS Office, outlook, teams.

3. Highly motivated and driven with a proven track record in sales.


4. Excellent selling and communication skills.


5. Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.

6. Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.

7. Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.

8. Energy conservation measure experience a plus. Having a background selling energy efficiency proposals including lighting, HVAC, refrigeration and other ECM’s a plus.

9. Ability to accurately audit commercial businesses for lighting counts, mechanical equipment information a plus.

10. Ability to climb ladders, access roofs to gather mechanical information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/CONDITIONS REQUIREMENTS

Stand, walk at jobsites for customer meetings and onsite audits.

Office setting, sitting up to 8 hours a day.


EQUIPMENT USED

- General office equipment (Laptops, Printers, Shredders, etc.).

- Internal M&M CRM.

- Ladders (if needed) to audit HVAC equipment on roofs.

- Hand Tools (if needed) open HVAC equipment panels for information nameplates.

- Company Vehicle

To be successful in the Energy Service Representative position, you must be a self-starter, generating your own leads and relationships to create sales. Someone who is comfortable marketing a service and understanding how to deliver our message in a manner that pulls in customer engagement.
