We are seeking an experienced Energy Modeler to support multi-family building projects. The candidate will be responsible for performing detailed energy simulations using DOE-2 software, translating architectural and mechanical designs into accurate energy models, and delivering comprehensive performance reports.
- Develop and run energy models for multi-family buildings.
- Model building geometry based on architectural drawings and site data.
- Define and input construction assemblies, including envelope and insulation details.
- Assign interior loads based on occupancy, schedules, and usage patterns.
- Define and input various HVAC system configurations into the model.
- Analyze and document simulation results, providing clear reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to gather required data and provide feedback on energy performance.
- Ensure models meet applicable codes, standards, or program requirements (LEED, ENERGY STAR, Earth Advantage, NGBS, etc).
- Proven experience in energy modeling for multi-family buildings.
- Proficiency with DOE-2 software
- Strong understanding of building science, energy systems, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications.
- Attention to detail and ability to document results clearly and accurately.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Familiarity with energy codes and standards
- Experience working on green building certification programs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working remotely.
