About The Position

The Energy Delivery Asset Performance Strategist position is responsible for providing support on the development and analysis of benefits cases, benefit realization, risk, and asset models, and analyzing data results and key metrics to inform leaders about the performance of Ameren Missouri's energy delivery assets and related capital projects. The role will heavily support regulatory inquiries around the Energy Delivery function and capital investments.

Qualifications - Energy Delivery Asset Performance Strategist

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required. Two or more years of relevant professional experience required (e.g. engineering, project management, energy delivery asset management, operations, performance improvement, accounting, financial reporting, analysis or modeling, and business planning). A degree in the following fields is preferred: Engineering, Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics. Advanced degree (e.g., Engineering, MBA, Master's of Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, other technical or business related discipline etc.) may be considered in lieu of relevant experience. Relevant certifications are a plus (PE, CPA, CFA).

Qualifications - Senior Energy Delivery Asset Performance Strategist

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required. Five or more years of relevant professional experience required (e.g. engineering, project management, energy delivery asset management, operations, performance improvement, accounting, financial reporting, analysis or modeling, and business planning). A degree in the following fields is preferred: Engineering, Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's of Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, other financial/business discipline, Engineering, etc.) may be considered with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Relevant certifications are a plus (PMP, PE, CPA, CFA).

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Strong Desire to Learn – Candidate must demonstrate a curious mindset and be willing to take on assignments that may require skills or technical knowledge they may be unfamiliar with. Requests feedback on own work and provides feedback to others.

Strategic Focus - Big picture thinking with an inquisitive, business-oriented, entrepreneurial, and creative mindset required.

Strong Verbal Communication Skills – Must demonstrate ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with leaders (e.g. Supervisor, Manager, Director)

Strong Prioritization Skills – Frequent ad-hoc requests require the ability to prioritize and deliver products in a timely manner. Self-starter, comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Strong Analytical Skills – Candidate must be an analytical thinker with the ability to analyze, break down/aggregate and format large amounts of data to support decision making and communications.

Continuous Improvement Focus – Must maintain a continuous improvement/lean mindset. Supports cultural change by leveraging a thorough business and technical knowledge, change management and/or continuous improvement techniques, and a forward-thinking mindset. Ability to influence, advocate and lead change required.

Business Program Skills – In addition to above, skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of Oracle based systems (e.g., Power BI) is preferred.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$69,300.00 - $133,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
