Ensure Safety of Team Members and Customers.
- Follow current K2 safety standards and make sure you are current with safety changes. Ensure that safety is a priority in work-related decisions.
- Identify, report, and address safety violations to your team lead. Use it as a learning tool and be a role model for good safety practices.
- Identify and address hazardous conditions. Follow K2/34.
- Maintain a clean and organized prefab facility daily.
Assist Prefab Team to Achieve Quality Control.
- Become familiar with prefab requirements, follow K2 standards for assemblies, and practice K2 Electric QA/QC standards.
- Verify assemblies meet prefab project requirements as directed by your lead never defaulting outside of minimum requirements.
- Ensure assemblies match design documents as directed by your lead.
Assist Prefab Team to Achieve Prefab Project On Time Completion.
- Review assembly project plans daily with Lead to understand job layout and equipment requirements.
- Complete prefab projects to ensure maximum production and use of K2 assembly standards.
- Learn and practice correct assembly methods to avoid mistakes and possible rework.
- Provide verbal/written task updates daily to Lead. Identify time & material remaining on task.
- Be proactive in identifying new assignments or tasks.
- Learn, understand, and communicate to Lead prefab project delay issues.
- Learn, understand, and communicate task material needs and forecasting.
Assist with Tool and Prefab Facility Cleanliness.
- Ensure tools are cleaned, maintained, and returned to K2 tooling lock up.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area daily. Walk prefab facility to inspect cleanliness at day end.
- Inspect ladders, extension cords, and other equipment to communicate any issues to Lead prior to use.
- Clarify directives of product installation based on engineered drawings and internal design.
- Audit product installations - identify new and old efficiencies and relay suggested ideas for improvement to superintendent.
- Participate in minimum of 32 hours continuing education related to leadership and track certificates.
- Coach field employees for correction, speed, and efficiency.
Work with Prefab & Construction Team to Maximize Customer Satisfaction.
- Cooperate with other prefab & construction team members to support project teamwork and productivity.
- Communicate with Lead regarding conflicts with other team members.
- Maintain friendly relationships with clients, owners, inspectors, employees, and future clients in accordance with K2 current employee handbook, core values, and core purpose.
- Stay current with required documentation and training in accordance with your current training program.
- Must have good command of the English language - verbal and written.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Team player with good customer and people skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools proficiently.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead – all for extended periods of time.
- Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath to ensure completion of assigned tasks within timeframe of K2 standards.
- Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
- Use muscles for extended periods without getting tired to ensure completion of assigned tasks within timeframe of K2 standards.
