Supervisor Plant Manager

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for processing customer’s products according to their specifications.

Essential Function

- Process customer orders per history sheets and/or supervisors instructions.

- Complete time studies pertaining to customer orders utilizing a logical approach.

- Work closely with other employees and other department to complete tasks.

- Must follow all safety policies, procedures and training given.

Hazardous Waste Related Functions

- Placing non-hazardous waste such as gloves & paper towels into plastic satellite drums

- Rinsing EP Fluid & Nitric Acid off parts with water into rinse water collection areas

- Placing EP Fluid and Nitric Acid contaminated filters into hazardous waste satellite drums

- Placing EP Salts and Nitric Acid Salts from tank clean-out into hazardous waste satellite drums

- Communicates in a clear, professional manner and exercises proper etiquette toward supervisors and fellow employees.

- Listens to instructions and asks questions to gain understanding of procedures.

- Able to interpret written instructions from supervisors and customers.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

- Job requires being on your feet much of an 8 hour day.

- Must be able to lift and/or move 40 lbs. multiple times during the day.

- Project Management Skills

- Read and interpret work orders/blue prints for practical application

- Properly utilize required documentation, labeling and work tracking procedures.

- Read and interpret specifications and work history information for practical application

- Preparation Skills:

- Un-package parts

- Count parts and record quantity

- Label parts and part containers

- Inspect and pre-clean parts with various cleaning agents.

- Passivation Activities:

- Load/unload parts into baskets & place/remove parts in/out of passivation bath.

- EP Set-up Skills:

- Use of simple pre-designed un-fielded racks, pin racks & clamp to bar custom racking – primarily OD only applications

- Post Process Skills:

- Pig/rinse/dry parts

- Buff parts

- Post process cleaning

- Assist shipping department as needed

- Shipping, Quality and Cross Department Support

- Package parts (re-crate/re-box/seal in poly bags/foam or stretch wrap

- Final inspection of parts for qty, cleanliness, damage and quality finish

- Ensure production follows specifications/procedures

- Assist other shops as needed/cross training

- Support Skills:

- Power wash parts

- Overhead hoist operation

- Cleaning/preparing of equipment/tooling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
