This position is responsible to perform, at a high level of skill, duties required for the operation of the pipeline system. The Electrician IV will provide routine assistance in mechanical equipment repairs and preventative maintenance efforts in all functions within operations performs housekeeping throughout reporting location. This position also assists in maintenance and/or operation of various types of Company property such as buildings, machinery, rights of way, and pipelines. The Electrician will maintain three phase electrical systems such as motors, control centers and related switchgear as well as recommend and/or install electrical wiring/conduits and related facilities needed for “new” single- or three-phase electrical systems.
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to)
Technical Duties (with no direct supervision)
•Possess thorough, in-depth understanding of operations of natural gas transmission pipeline industry and welding procedures
•Perform assigned duties in areas of pipeline and compressor station operations and maintenance activities with a high level of skill
•Utilize all applicable IT systems
•Complete all criteria in Qualifications section above as well as other items in the “Job Qualification Task List” as incorporated by reference
Compliance
•Create/maintain all required documentation related to assignments
•Attain and Maintain proficiency in performing Operator Qualification tasks
•Comply with all applicable regulations, Company policies and procedures (e.g., OSHA, DOT, NAFP 70E, etc.)
Training
•Maintain First Aid/CPR certification
•CBT / ExxTend Learning modules
•Other coursework and proof of skill as required by law, regulation, or Company policy or procedure
•New Employee Safety Orientation
Safety
•Participate safety presentations
•Understand and effectively implement Emergency Procedures
•Understand and use Sec 65 of the SSCGP O&M
•Participate in SSCGP Safety program
Leadership
•Provide leadership with minimal supervision
•Co-lead assigned projects
•Other duties and training as assigned
Minimum
•High School diploma or GED, technical aptitude
•Journeyman’s Electrician license
•Basic skill level in Microsoft Office products
•Maintain a valid driver’s license
•Maintain a DOT physical card
•Experience in natural gas pipeline
Preferred
•Bachelor’s degree, associates or two-year technical degree
•Master Electrician license
•Must obtain OQ qualifications through Operator IV level (not required for internal upgrade).
•Must attend and the pass the associated tests for each of the following areas

•NFPA 70E ARC Flash Protection and Electrical Safety in the Workplace

Other Requirements
•Ability to work 8- or 12-hour rotating shifts (with varying days off)
•Must reside within a 40 mile radius of reporting location
