The Electrician is responsible for the design, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, as well as the inspection of electrical components to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
- Reads, understands and applies technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Installs, diagnoses and repairs wiring and conductive elements and electrical components.
- Tests and inspects electrical work to ensure safe installation and regulatory compliance.
- Plans and designs fixture layouts, wiring pathways and other electrical elements.
- Identifies and mitigates safety hazards, code violations and other electrical issues.
- Uses testing devices and other hand and power tools, as needed.
- Coordinates with code enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities during inspections and evaluations of electrical systems and components.
- Keeps detailed and accurate records of installations.
- Follows NEC, state and local building regulations.
- Follows all safety guidelines related to operating and maintenance of high-voltage equipment.
- Other duties related to position, as assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of electrical experience with an active electrician license preferred- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently
