Electrical Testing Technician 2nd Shift

Electrical Testing Technician – 2nd Shift Shift Hou rs: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:30am (+$3.00/hr shift differential)

- Required to train on 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm) for a period of approximately 2 - 6 months or until both you and the company are comfortable moving you to your intended shift.

Overall Responsibility

: Electrical Testing (control and medium voltage)

Key Job Duties

- Adherence to safety protocol regarding PPE and test equipment operation.

- Testing and inspection of medium voltage switchgear.

- Electrical circuit testing using the following (TTR t, Vt, CPT and Hi pot) test.

- Troubleshoot switchgear issues.

- Read and decipher prints and schematics & wiring diagrams.

- Implement a variety of field concept, practices, and procedures.

- Report process and product issues.

- Documentation of testing results. (high lighting and filling out test reports).

- Archiving test reports into database.

- Documenting & possibly complete job punch list items documented as a result of Testing Tech. findings.

Required Skills And Experience

- Understanding of different voltage classifications and levels (control vs. medium etc.).

- Experience using MS Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- Excellent time management skills and understanding of urgency of meeting deadlines.

Desired Qualities And Attributes

- Basic ability to operate electrical designing software (CAD, SolidWorks Electrical etc.).

- Excellent communication skills.

- Knowledge of engineering drawing guidelines and standards.

- 2+ years’ experience in industry.

- Associates / Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering technology or related field of study.

- Willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour + $3.00 per hour shift differential
