Electrical / Mechanical Service Technician

MIDWEST is a small, professional business located in Menomonee Falls. MIDWEST is searching for a motivated, pleasant, and hard-working person to work as an Electrical Mechanical Service person.

The Electrical Mechanical Service position is a dynamic position for MIDWEST. This employee will be utilized by several departments within MIDWEST – our switchgear shop, field services division, and sales department.

Strong mechanical abilities

A strong MIDWEST American work ethic

Some technical and computer skills. High School Diploma required

Basic AC & DC Electrical Training

Electrical Tech degree or equal a plus, but not required

Electrical experience a plus but not required.

College, Technical School or strong math/science abilities important

Technician work includes repairing, maintaining, testing, and reconditioning electrical power equipment and systems. This includes field service work and shop work. Some travel. Air travel occasionally required. The position requires the same physical abilities needed for construction work, such as, but not limited to, bending, lifting, and climbing.

Job duties: - Reconditioning, repairing, modernizing electrical equipment - Electrical testing, performance and quality control testing - Disassembly and re-assembly of equipment. - Mechanically inclined. Familiarity with hand and power tools required. - Need to be a self-starter. - Pride in work a must. - Manage multiple projects and tasks. - Ability to complete tasks quickly, correctly, and safely. - Comfortable with computer basics or willing to learn - Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and work on small and large electrical equipment. - Looking for an energetic, happy person. - Must be available for overtime, weekend, and holiday work when needed.
