Location: This position will serve our Alberta market, with the ideal candidate based within 150 km of Edmonton, Alberta.

Primec is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Product Support Technician to support the expansion of our Automation Division in Alberta. • Market, install, and build infrastructure for the Alberta Automation Division expansion
• Partner with vendors to create an efficient and reliable product line in Electrical Automation, Instrumentation, and Measurement products
• Develop and foster relationships with electrical shops and end users in Oil & Gas, Mining, and Infrastructure sectors
• Demonstrate and expand technical expertise related to all forms of artificial lift-Reciprocating Rod Lift, Progressive Cavity Pumping, Electric Submersible Automationand Gas Lift including Variable Frequency Drives, Electric Motors, Automation systems, and Instrumentation systems
• Diagnose measurement equipment & devices, chemical pumping, and process equipment performance, failures, and root causes
• Collaborate with lease operators, production foremen, and engineers to optimize production volumes and minimize downtime
• Identify optimization opportunities through adjustments to artificial lift automation equipment and settings
• Utilize repair manuals, parts manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot automation equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• 5–10 years of experience in field programming of VFDs and Artificial Lift Systems
• Knowledge of safety and quality programs and regulatory compliance
• Entrepreneurial & customer focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Comfortable working across field, shop, and office environments
