The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering foundation, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for renewable energy. Key responsibilities include supporting design reviews, developing performance optimization tools, leading cross-functional technical initiatives, and contributing to process improvements through automation and data analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a best-in-class engineering team to advance projects through critical milestones while maintaining the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence strategic design decisions, support project execution, and contribute to the company’s long-term growth objectives in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:•Support photovoltaic (PV) project design reviews to ensure compliance with high-quality standards and engineering best practices.
•Lead cross-functional optimization efforts around PV design, equipment selection, and technology review to maximize competitiveness and NPV and reduce project LCOE
•Contribute to the achievement of growth targets and the strategic scaling of GIS operations in alignment with organizational objectives, working in collaboration with a high-performing engineering team.
•Assist in the development and implementation of internal PV performance and capacity optimization tools, standards, and processes, contributing to approximately 30% of the engineering design strategy across the GIS project pipeline.
•Conduct optimization analyses and peer reviews of PV system designs and energy yield assessments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
•Support automation initiatives aimed at streamlining engineering workflows and improving operational efficiency across technical teams.
•Collaborate with software engineering and performance analytics teams to resolve system underperformance, leveraging data analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
•Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize PV system design, equipment selection, and technology evaluations, with the objective of improving competitiveness, maximizing net present value (NPV), and reducing the levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
•Conduct in-depth research and analysis of emerging market trends and advancements in photovoltaic technologies applicable to utility-scale energy projects.
•Oversee project design activities, including the review and validation of technical drawings, engineering studies, and design documentation to ensure alignment with project specifications and timelines.
•Provide expert guidance in the review of construction and commissioning documentation, technical exhibits, and engineering specifications to ensure technical integrity and compliance.
•Manage and coordinate scopes of work (SOW) with third-party consultants and external stakeholders, ensuring that deliverables are clearly defined, aligned, and executed effectively.
•Perform technical due diligence on PV equipment, supporting the procurement process by leading detailed technical evaluations and discussions with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
