Electrical Engineer
Corpus Christi, TX (Embedded in plant)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electrical Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
•Prepare concept/basic/detailed design and construction documents related to Electrical Engineering.
•Design MCC/switchgear, transformers, Remote Instrument Enclosures, and Building power systems.
•Set relays settings, perform Fault Current Analysis, Load Flow, Load Studies, and Arc Flash Studies, using SKM.
•Replace relays from ABB to SEL’s in two 12.47kV/4160V substations.
•Conduct material research, produce BOM, compile data for projects, and assist on vendor coordination.
•Add transformers to different systems, from 12.47kV to 4160V, or 480V.
•Add MCC sections, starter buckets, or outdoor starters to Switch racks.
Requirements:
The Electrical Engineer (Engineering Specialist) requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
•BS in Electrical Engineering
•Professional License (Electrical) in the state of Texas
•Strong experience with SKM Electrical Power System Analysis software
•Experience with power distribution and subsystems including, 15KV.
•Demonstrated experience in technical execution on both FEL/FEED and EPC projects in the chemical and petrochemical industry.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Self-motivating, self-managing individual
Working conditions are as follows:
•Position Type: Full-Time
•Schedule: Monday – Friday
•Overtime: Occasionally (Straight time rate)
