Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Omaha, NE
Contract role with the possibility of being hired on perm
Preference will be given to candidates with electrical engineering knowledge of power and controls within the utility industry related to the design and installation of natural gas pipelines, compressor stations and process equipment.
· Design, develop, modify, and evaluate systems, process, or facilities to support Company
· Develop electrical engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design
· Determine and implement methods and techniques for obtaining electrical engineering design
· Guide and direct associate level engineers, technicians and electrical CAD designers.
· Recommend alternative solutions to management in area of specialty on engineering solutions to
· Deliver on commitments and manage outside engineering services by direct communication to
· Analyze and design engineering methods. Including eactive analytical and problem-solving
skills. Candidate should have critical thinking and decision-making skills to develop and present
· Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university.
· A minimum of two years of directly related experience in engineering related field.
· Knowledge and application of principles in area of electrical engineering specialty. Preference
given to candidates with 480 V power distribution and Modbus/Device Net/ControlNet/Ethernet
· Excellent oral and written communication skills. Including strong technical writing skills including
the ability to communicate a basic understanding of technical information to non-technical
· Project management skills: ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects
· Understanding of Company’s business, and relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations and the National Electric Codes.
· Ability to perform actively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness:
ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
· Ability to provide timely assessments with limited information and/or assumptions.
· Proficient with the use of personal computers and automated tools.
