Come join our team! MW&L is hiring for the position of Electrical Engineer 1.
The Electrical Engineer 1 plays an important role at the utility in engineering, drafting, and planning of electrical facilities. The Electrical Engineer 1 provides technical support for the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems and facilities under general supervision. This role works closely with customers, agencies, and operations staff to process service requests and assists in developing electrical system designs. Additional responsibilities include supporting the development and review of engineering standards and materials, and maintaining accurate records, drawings, and documentation of transmission, distribution, and substation systems.
This position functions independently in daily tasks and uses initiative and sound judgment in handling customer requests. It also requires a thorough understanding of McMinnville Water and Light’s utility policies, programs, and procedures.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Driver’s license valid in Oregon, with an acceptable driving record.
