As Electrical Designer IV, you’ll design and develop electrical systems for various projects, ensuring their functionality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other stakeholders to analyze project requirements, identify design constraints, and propose innovative solutions to optimize electrical system performance. You will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your expertise in electrical design principles, codes, and regulations will be essential in selecting appropriate components and equipment, such as transformers, motors, circuit breakers, and control panels. Additionally, you will be engaged to participate in project scoping, planning, status reporting and scope management.
· Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, vendor data, and sketches
· Coordinates and consults with engineers or other designers to complete projects, ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards
· Support equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables
· Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
· Present design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
· Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements
· Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule
· Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required to complete deliverables
· Prepares, reviews, and approves electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring BOMs and designs
· Bachelor's or associate's degree or equivalent preferred
· Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal
· Proficient in both written and spoken English
