- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required.
- Must have knowledge and experience designing, assembling, programming, diagnosing, troubleshooting and installing electrical systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of process control fundamentals, instrumentation, valves, actuators, etc.
- Experience with Alan Bradley Controllogix and SLC platform PLCs.
- Proficiency at using tools, including electronic testing equipment.
- Experience working from schematics, P&IDs, and other specifications required.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with motors, transformers, machine controls, PLC’s, frequency drive systems and electrical systems up to 600 volts required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge and troubleshooting with electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Working knowledge of NEC code and familiarity with UL requirements.
- Familiarity with design for regulatory compliance and safety practices.
- Perform work in-house and at customer sites.
- Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must possess good communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Responsible for designing, developing, assembling, programming, testing and troubleshooting electrical control systems for new and existing equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and electrical schematic drawings.
- Assemble electrical panels in a UL 508A shop, independently.
- Assist with installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
- Prepare proposals to include scope, schedule, and cost estimates.
- Assemble, diagnose, repair, calibrate and install a variety of electrical and pneumatic valve assemblies and components.
- Perform installations, modifications, maintain and repair electrical controls and devices by interpreting blueprints and electrical schematic drawings.
- Perform calibrations and configurations of instruments and devices.
- Perform on-site support and trouble shooting at client sites.
- Work simultaneously on multiple project and client teams.
- Perform electrical repairs on facility equipment and utilities.
