The Electrical Controls Technician 2 (ECT2) is an Electrician working in the municipal water and wastewater industry, the ECT 2 is responsible for surveying existing motor control cabinets and instrumentation, creating detailed electrical drawings of control panels and how they will integrate to the surveyed field equipment, as well as installing, wiring and starting up the completed panels. While this role does not involve programming PLCs, it does require a strong understanding of electrical systems, dry-contact control loops, 4-20mA analog signals and physically integrating equipment to PLCs. The ability to interpret technical specifications and requirements as well as document them is critical.
This role will be based out of our Melbourne FL office and will require regular travel (70%) to customer sites, at times requiring overnight and out of state travel. When not at customer sites, you will be office based in Melbourne. You are provided with a shared company vehicle and specialized tools to perform in this role.
