Electrical Controls Engineer / Industrial Electrician

Modern Forge is a steel forging manufacturer seeking Controls Engineer / Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. Successful candidates for this Controls Engineer / Industrial Electrician position will have experience with relay control components, PLC control systems, electrical schematic and ladder logic reading and writing, experience with a variety of programming software including but not limited to Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Red Lion. This individual will be responsible for planning preventative maintenance, have knowledge of design software such as Autocad, troubleshooting issues with components, software, and processes. Controls Engineer / Industrial Electrician will also be responsible for design and implementation of improvements.

A Controls Engineer / Industrial Electrician should also be able to use electrical test equipment, including but not limited to, multimeter, function generator and oscilloscope. Have experience working with a range of voltages from 480vac – 24vdc, as well as digital and analogue signals such as 0-10vdc and 4-20ma.

Candidates must possess a strong work ethic. This position of Controls Engineer / Industrial Electrician requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in a related field. A Controls Engineer / Industrial Electrician with electronic experience (solid state and SCR controls) and robotic experience would be a plus.
