Apex Power & Automation is looking for you. As an Electrician (Apprentice), reporting directly to the Site Foreman you will work to ensure that you represent Apex Power & Automation as a leader in electrical trade in the Elk Valley. Electrician Apprentices help install, alter, repair and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarms for all types of buildings, structures and premises. MUST LIVE in Elkford, Sparwood, Fernie or Crowsnest Pass.
We’re looking for people who do more than good work; we’re looking for the best.
- Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
- Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures.
- Install, replace, maintain and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment. Install, replace, maintain and repair renewable power sources and related equipment.
- Install data cabling.
- Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits.
- Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
- Manual dexterity.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Honest and Punctual.
- Ability to read and understand complex instructions.
- Ability to do careful and exacting work.
- Be able to take directions, and receptive to training and mentoring
- A clear communicator with computer experience.
- Expert control systems planning and installation;
- Must have a driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
- Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position

- Outstanding customer service skills
