About Us:

At Valley Steel Recycling, we are enhancing our operations by installing new machinery and upgrading our systems. To support these improvements, we are looking for a skilled Electric PLC Technician to join our team on a short-term basis.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Electric PLC Technician for a 3–6 month contract to handle the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical control systems, including PLCs, for new equipment and structural projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that our new machines and systems are installed correctly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Install, configure, and commission electrical systems and PLC-controlled equipment.

•

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLCs, wiring, and electrical components.

•

Work with engineers and mechanics to integrate machinery and automation controls.

•

Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.

•

Perform routine testing and inspection to ensure systems operate correctly and meet safety standards.

•

Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all company and regulatory safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

•

Proven experience as an Electrician, PLC Technician, or in a similar electrical/automation role.

•

Strong knowledge of PLC programming, wiring, and troubleshooting.

•

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.

•

Familiarity with industrial machinery installation and automation systems.

•

Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

•

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical work.

Employment Type:

Full-Time, Contract (3–6 months)

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
