Texas Steel Conversion is hiring skilled Industrial Electricians (also known as Plant Electricians, Electrical Techs, or I&E Techs)! This is a full-time opportunity with great pay, steady overtime, and the chance to grow your skills in PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems.
Location: Houston, TX 77051 Full-Time | Flexible Shifts + Overtime & On-Call as Needed
Pay: $20 /hr.- $32/hr. (DOE) Company: Texas Steel Conversion (TSC)
What You’ll Do:
•
Inspect, install, repair, and modify electrical systems and control panels
•
Work with PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial controls
•
Assist in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical equipment
•
Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance
•
Ensure machinery operates within OEM and safety specs
•
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
•
Maintain accurate maintenance records and write requisitions
•
Support capital projects, upgrades, and new equipment installations
•
Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams
•
Be available for 24-hour on-call support and emergency repairs
What You Need:
•
Electrical certification or technical degree (preferred)
•
Electrical experience
•
Experience with PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, ladder logic, and troubleshooting
•
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and procedures (in English)
•
Basic PC skills (MS Word, Excel); ACAD experience a plus
•
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Omron equipment is a plus
•
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, work on your feet, and wear required PPE
•
Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, and be on-call
