Job Summary:
NAES has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced EHS Manager to support a site test branch in the Southeast. The EHS Manager reports directly to the Site Manager and is responsible for implementing and maintaining the site environmental, health, safety management system, and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements. The EHS Manager implements and maintains the site security management system and defines and monitors actions to improve EHS performance. The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing the entire EHS site team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain site EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
- Lead risk assessments, inspections, audits, and event investigations to identify hazards, prevent incidents, and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety standards across all construction and commissioning work.
- Provide EHS training and regular communication to site personnel to reinforce expectations and support continuous learning.
- Review subcontractor safety plans, risk assessments, and documentation, and verify compliance before and during project execution.
- Track, report, and maintain all required EHS records and documentation accurately for the duration of the project.
- Serve as the primary liaison for EHS matters, coordinating with site leadership, subcontractors, external authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Promote a just and fair safety culture by reinforcing accountability, recognizing safe behavior, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guide site teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated success in planning, executing, and leading EHS programs.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS management for construction sites.
- Technical knowledge of gas power plant operations.- 5+ years relevant work experience in a similar role, preferable within power industry.
- HS Diploma required
- 4 year degree from an accredited university preferred, not required.
