EHS MANAGER Job Description: Work as an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager on large utility-scale power generation and transmission portfolios. This position will create, review, oversee, manage, and make recommendations to be implemented to Sync Energy Services, LLC (SYNC) Environmental Health and Safety program. This position will also oversee EHS compliance for the SYNC workers, including select training. Location:
Mainland United States, up to 80% travel required. Weekly travel Monday-Friday. Home on weekends. Emergency readiness.

Preferred Background:Four-year Occupation safety/health degree or equivalent combination of training or experience. Must have 5 years verifiable experience as a construction safety professional in the electrical construction industry. Required Skill Sets:
•Professional level of knowledge of OSHA, State-specific OSHA, and NFPA
•Safety plan creation and auditing
•Commercial/Industrial/Utility electrical experience
•Extensive knowledge in NFPA 70E
•OSHA certifications- minimum of 510 or the ability to obtain
•OSHA 30 Trainer Certificate
•First aid/CPR/AED training capabilities
•Computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Unifier, Clicksafety, ISNet, and MS PowerPoint
•Communication to third parties and executives
•Construction means and method knowledge
•Experience working with Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Job Responsibilities:
•Review and comment on safety plans and programs
•Manages and implements safety training
•Management of safety training programs
•Incident investigation and root cause analysis
•Corrective action creation and implementation
•EHS/ESP/LOTO plan auditing for compliance
•Auditing job site-specific training
· Managing and creation of safety documentation
•Continuous improvement plan creation and implementation
•Interface with state or national level OSHA
•Provide contractor safety oversight and act as a representative of SYNC to verify EHS practices, training, policies, and procedures are followed.
•Maintain positive working relationships with project management, site personnel, and contractors
•Verify that SYNC has established safety metrics and key performance measures
•Complete documented site walks of the construction project and inspection of trade workforce, and conduct field safety observations
•Assist SYNC with the planning and hazard mitigation identified high-hazard contractor activities
•Assist in the development of safety readiness reviews to include written program review, verification of training certifications, hazard assessments, and logistic plans
•Training teams on First Aid/CPR, orientations, and State-specific requirements
•Helps create and implement a behavior-based safety program
Physical Requirements
•Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
•Requires extended periods of sitting or standing, with occasional kneeling, bending, or reaching.
•Must be physically capable of walking on the jobsite on varied, uneven terrain and/or varied temperatures and weather elements.
•Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring and/or tape.
•Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to site safety protocols.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle to perform work-related tasks.
