Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving, experience with heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety on construction sites. As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, moving heavy equipment on a 25 Ton tag trailer, loading trucks with excavators and/or bucket loaders, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

•

Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and topsoil to various construction sites.

•

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.

•

Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including loaders and excavators.

•

Collaborate with Project Manager, Site Supervisor and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules.

•

Maintain accurate records of materials transported and delivery times.

•

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on public roads and construction sites.

•

Maintain a clean vehicle, inside and out.

•

Notify shop foreman of truck and equipment defects and coordinate repairs.

Skills

•

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).

•

Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.

•

Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators.

•

Ability to navigate construction sites safely while performing duties.

•

Familiarity with dump truck operations and maintenance procedures.

•

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

•

Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.

•

Familiarity with laws and regulations regarding excess weight on public roads.
