We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver/Transportation Operator/Vehicle Porter II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. As an Owner Operator, you will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule and routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

•

Safely operate and drive a commercial vehicle to transport goods to various locations.

•

Communicate effectively with clients and dispatchers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that may arise.

•

Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients and ensure their satisfaction with the delivery process.

•

Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments through a cash register when necessary.

•

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and receipts.

•

Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle.

•

Navigate efficiently using maps or GPS systems to optimize delivery routes.

•

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Experience

•

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.

•

Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members.

•

Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate cash handling is beneficial.

•

Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.

•

A background in guest services or customer service will enhance your ability to meet client needs effectively.

•

Knowledge of dealership operations can be advantageous in understanding logistics related to vehicle transport.
