Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver Manager to oversee our fleet operations and ensure the efficient management of our drivers. This individual will be responsible for managing daily driver operations, ensuring DOT compliance, optimizing route efficiency, and maintaining high standards for safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

•

Supervise and manage a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

•

Coordinate daily schedules and routes for drivers to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

•

Monitor driver performance, providing feedback and coaching to enhance skills and productivity.

•

Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles, including regular inspections and timely repairs.

•

Handle any issues that arise during transportation, including delays or accidents, effectively communicating with all parties involved.

•

Participate in driver recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts

•

Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including hours worked, freight handled, and equipment used.

•

Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve service delivery.

•

Conduct training sessions for new drivers on company policies, safety protocols, and equipment operation.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in a transportation or logistics management role is preferred.

•

Familiarity with various types of driving equipment such as tractor-trailers, tankers, and heavy equipment operation is essential.

•

Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations

•

Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.

•

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders.

•

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; shuttle driving experience is advantageous.

•

CDL Class A (with Tankers/Hazmat endorsements) is a plus
