Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dock Worker/Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and movement of metal and metal parts within our manufacturing environment. This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of equipment.

Responsibilities

•

Load and unload freight from trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment.

•

Operate equipment to move products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse and keep workstations supplied with product.

•

Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment.

•

Maintain an organized and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency.

•

Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules.

•

Run and monitor the Hawkeye.

•

Assist in conducting regular inventory checks and reporting discrepancies as needed.

Requirements

•

Must have reliable and punctual attendance.

•

Must wear PPE: safety shoes, ear protection, safety glasses,

•

Proven experience in material handling within a manufacturing environment.

•

Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

•

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

•

Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

•

Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
