The division manager position is responsible for ensuring the safe and productive day-to-day distribution activities of the retail and terminal operation. The ideal candidate will be a hands on team leader that motivates the division staff, while providing guidance and direction to obtaining the goals of the division. In addition to being a team leader, the successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be able to maintain a high level of customer service.
Additionally, the successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of our retail propane operations and have the ability to utilize current and future computer software tools to enhance division efficiencies. This multi-faceted position will require a solid background in safety, customer service, DOT and regulatory compliance, employee relations and strong computer skills.
· Analyze and execute operational business plans for profitability.
· Manage P & L and controllable expenditure statement
· Enforce and maintain company policies and procedures
· Understand and interpret Federal, local and state regulations for compliance
· Ensures company compliance with safety codes and policies including the maintenance and repair of division fleet.
· Appropriately creates implements and executes strategies to achieve business plan objectives.
· Effectively manage staff for improved efficiencies and performance.
· Assists in the division’s sales by increasing customer base. Works with the sales team to obtain quality long term sustainable growth.
· Works closely with & provides field support to the service & delivery departments, executes highest level of customer service.
· Proactively addresses and resolves employee/customer issues with fairness.
· Reviews daily work to ensure accuracy and proper documentation from all departments .
· Be able to resolve problems and issues effectively & efficiently
· Must be able to work well under pressure while providing completed results
· Specialized training related to the LP Gas field (CETP, outside source certifications….)
· Knowledge or experience involving rail terminal operations
· Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
· At least 5 years in the propane gas or gas distribution services industry
· Commercial Class B License with proper endorsements
