We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled

Distribution Engineer

to join our team at K&A Engineering in

Cary, North Carolina.

Role Expectations

- Design and engineer medium voltage (1kV to 35kV) overhead and underground power distribution systems

- Perform scope analysis of work assignments and maintain schedule adherence to align with client priorities

- Perform QAQC and Final Reviews of project deliverables

- Provide technical oversight to solve complex problems with minimal supervision

- Assist with pole loading analysis calculations and equipment sizing for residential projects

- Assist with fielding work if needed

- Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university is required

- 3+ years of Distribution Design experience is required

- Previous Duke Energy project experience is required; design QAQC/review experience preferred

- Demonstrated ability or experience with Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and Pole Foreman

- Katapult experience is a plus

- Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures

- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel

- Must have a valid Driver’s License

- Report to the Cary, NC, office on a daily basis

Pay Range $65,000-$75,000/annually
