The Director of Operations of a company is a senior-level director who provides management, leadership and vision to ensure the organization meets its short-term and long-term objectives. They help create enduring policies and a company culture that strengthens operational efficiency and generates revenue. This is a management, non-bargaining unit position.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Oversees the daily and emergency work duties of the Sovereign Leadership Team.
•Leads the development, implementation, memorializing and review of business procedures.
•Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales to achieve financial objectives
•Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
•Develops and executes new growth directives
•Oversees client support services
•Manages procurement and resource allocation
•Assessing and enhancing the efficiency of internal and external operational processes
•Mentoring and inspiring employees to key into the vision of management
•Evaluating company performance and recommend strategies to improve results
•Collaborating with management and other stakeholders to raise capital and carry out other business-expanding strategies
•Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
•In-depth understanding of the industry and the workings of different departments of a company, including finance, sales and human resources
•Excellent leadership and organizational skills
•Knowledge of accounting, financial analysis and data analysis
•Experience in budgeting and sales
•Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
•Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
•Proven ability to communicate and navigate collective bargaining unit agreements.
Education and Experience:
•Master’s degree in Business Administration or the equivalent preferred.
•Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience in a Collective Bargaining Unit Organization.
•Proven experience in a senior Leadership role. Bargaining Unit (IBEW) member/experience preferred.
•Strategic planning and business development
