Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting

Reporting to: VP of Accounting
We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead our accounting operations across multiple locations in the U.S. This is a highly visible role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to financial strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership
•Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team, including goal setting, training, and professional development.
•Partner with finance, operations, and executive leadership to support business decisions with financial insights.
•Manage relationships with accounting and financial advisors.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
•Oversee full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for multiple locations.
•Ensure accurate and timely completion of the month-end close process (within five days) in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
•Maintain strong command of US GAAP accounting standards and ensure adherence.
•Conduct cost accounting and gross margin analysis.
•Manage monthly and quarterly financial consolidations and reporting.
Governance & Compliance
•Champion best practices, standard operating procedures, and internal controls, working closely with auditors.
•Oversee general ledger integrity, ensuring accurate financial data within ERP systems and financial consolidations.
•Assist with tax compliance and other accounting-related services.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
•Active CPA license (required).
•10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
•Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial systems, ERP software, and Excel.
•Proven leadership and team management experience.
•High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
