Job Description
What You'll Do:
•Provide Transmission System Operations strategic oversight for all NERC O&P, NERC CIP and Sarbanes – Oxley (SOX) applicable standard requirements.
•Set the Transmission System Operations direction for documenting processes and procedures in all groups w/ identified NERC or SOX steps or evidence gathering tasks.
•Establish clear requirements for tier 1 support and coordination for all NERC and SOX compliance standards applicable to Transmission System Operations, as well as the training and develop activities associated with transmission field employees, the NERC certification and AEP qualifications of all 24/7/365 System Operators and Reliability Coordinators.
•Provide strategic oversight for all interconnection documents that contain language associated with AEP Transmission System Operations support services
•Set the strategic direction for Transmission Operations personnel engaged in supporting the reliability support functions in Transmission System Operations.
•Responsible for the development of and adherence to O&M and Capital budgets for Transmission System Operations Reliability Support.
•Direct all activities for Transmission System Operations teams / process experts that perform tasks and activities to ensure compliance with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and applicable state public utility protocol.
•Provide oversight to all Transmission System Operations personnel involved in the development of Tier 1 controls - automated processes to retrieve and compile NERC reliability compliance evidence in near real-time, as well as explore other process improvement opportunities to drive Operational Excellence.
•Provide direction to all Transmission Operations personnel involved in Transmission System Operations activities related to NERC compliance, including tracking Transmission System Operations performance on compliance activities, preparation of compliance documentation, reports, and self-certification submittals on behalf of Transmission System Operations and ensuring the integrity of all Transmission System Operations compliance documentation.
•Provide Transmission System Operations sign off on all Transmission System Operations end to end work processes.
•Provide Transmission System Operations sign off on Transmission System Operations related RFI submittals (as required).
•Provide Transmission System Operations sign off on Transmission System Operations standard language and review processes for all Transmission.
•System Operations related service agreements or interface agreements which include Transmission Operations services.
•Lead the training and development team for Transmission System Operations and operating company real time staff, and the Transmission Field Services frontline employees.
•Responsible for the development of and adherence to O&M and Capital budgets for Transmission System Operations Reliability Support.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Management, Legal) from an ABET accredited (or equivalent) university or college.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of related work experience. Prior management experience is required.
Note: This position is a Compensation Grade 12
Compensation Range: $183,000 - $238,000
