Position Overview

Are you an experienced Engineering Detailer ready to take on exciting, hands-on projects from concept to completion? Pillar Innovations' Engineering and Automation group is seeking a Detailer II to play a key role in detailing and providing file processing support across a wide range of industries. In this role, youll use your expertise in CAD and other design software to support innovative fabrication projects for industrial customers.

Youll work in close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and project managers, both in the field and at our shop. With opportunities to lead other Detailers, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is comfortable with adapting to new challenges. What You'll Do

- Interpret drawings and documentation for fabrication, machining, and construction

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high quality of product

- Process and create CAD files with software for CNC equipment

- Troubleshoot fabrication, assembly, installation, and equipment issues

- Follow quality control standards and check lists

- Design and navigate 3D/2D CAD software and equipment processing software

- Edit flow diagrams, PandIDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) based on Engineered design

- Communicate with customers to maintain relationships and provide support and networking opportunities

- Manage and supervise assigned personnel and ensure effective performance management

- Working Conditions

- Walk/use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms

- Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type

- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted

What You'll Bring

- Possess High School Diploma or equivalent

- 2+ years of steel fabrication or relevant work experience preferred

- Completion of a relevant 2-3 year technical program in CAD

- Demonstrated knowledge for the fabrication process, drafting principles, and willingness to perform hands-on work

- Possess a working knowledge of design principles such as structural clip and moment connections, manufacturability, etc. preferred

- Valid drivers license required

- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

- Ability to work well both independen ly and as a team

- Strong experience with software packages such as Inventor, AutoCad, CMS, CAM, EJE, Tekla, or equivalent design software required

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Willingness to stretch current abilities to learn new skills
