Summary
As a Designer Associate at Oncor, you will ensure quality mapping of electric distribution system in accordance with all Company policies and accepted standards to meet the mapping needs of the Distribution Operations Center (DOC) Technical Support - Mapping Team. In this role, you will provide project management services and technical expertise to support DOC Technical Support process improvement projects.
Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
- Inspect data quality of Geographical Information System maps including new designs for modification and expansion projects to ensure accurate mapping of electric facilities that meet DOC customer needs.
- Ensure accurate posting of Geographical Information System software data.
- Communicate with other work groups and collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure expectations are met.
- Incorporate safety as a central focus in the design and operation of facilities to ensure personnel and public safety.
- Effectively manage assigned projects while maintaining work product reliability and volume.
- Actively participate in personal developmental planning and training to expand knowledge and opportunities.
- Must be able and available to assist in storm restoration efforts.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and develop corrective action plans to address issues promptly.
- Provide training sessions to team members on the use of mapping tools and data management best practices.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Applicants with a 2-year Associate degree in technical related curriculum or Bachelor degree or
- 3-7 years of direct or related design/construction/project management experience without a degree are encouraged to apply.
- Proactive detection and mitigation of connectivity and graphics data quality issues in the AEGIS-OMS map.
- Reactive mapping corrections to fix system discrepancies between records and field conditions.
- Promotes and encourages safety awareness and provides positive contributions to the safety program.
- Appropriately represents the company and management in a positive manner.
- Ability to manage projects from inception to completion when working independently and with other work groups.
- Consistently meeting OMS Mapping needs.
- Effective and timely completion of work.
